Canada Day Fireworks Cancelled – Festivities Still On!

Due to the provincial Class 2 fire ban, the nighttime fireworks on Canada Day have been cancelled for the time being. If the ban is lifted before July 1st, the Riondel Fire Department will reinstate the fireworks. They are complying with many other areas who have taken these measures to reduce fire risk.

The Riondel Volunteer Fire Department and Chief Cory Medhurst strongly urge residents to refrain from the private use of fireworks during this very dry and hot time.

8:30am – Tennis Tournament

10:30am – Raising of the Flag

10:45am – Daytime Fireworks!

11-1pm – Many Bays Band

11-2pm – Food Sales by Lions Club

12-1pm – Kids Games

1-1:30 – Samba Parade
