Museum Days 2015 is starting this Friday (July 24th) at the Gray Creek Hall, and will run four days through to Monday, July 27th, from 12 noon to 6 pm each day.
The Gray Creek Historical Society will be showing off lots of new finds this year.  There will be fun stuff like a trunk full of newly found treasures to sort through; old technology like a 6” square crank record player; displays on natural chaos (come and see what that’s about!), Gray Creek Pass in its 25th year, new photos of Burden and Watson’s houseboat and the tragic story of the next houseboat; and much more.
Our special guest is Creston artist Bruce Paterson, who will bring his sketches of local landmarks along with a sampling of his new art to the Hall.  Bruce lived and taught on the East Shore for a time, so please come and say hello.  Bruce will also display two still-corked bottles of cognac that he found several years ago while scuba diving in front of the Golden Pine home in Gray Creek.  In the early 1900s Len Clark used to row his boat to the Balfour CPR Hotel to pick up cases of his favourite cognac. Apparently he lost his cargo in 25 feet of water.
Come to the Gray Creek Hall and see what it’s all about. It’s free, with snacks to boot.  Museum Days Poster 2015
