Gray Creek Pass Road Open… but for how long?

by Tom Lymbery

Forest Service advised us in earlier October  that they have finally been able to take the CLOSED signs down after completing repairs to the slides and ditches.

The subsidence about five miles up has been filled.  Forestry also said,  “A lot of credit was due to the Kootenay Lake Chamber of Commerce lobbying for funds and raising the issue.  It’s too bad that this is what it takes these days to get sufficient funds out of the government to get our work done!”

October is usually fine for regular vehicles, but November requires four wheel drive and sometimes chains.
