Community Wildfire Protection Planning Meetings happening in Area A:

  • Crawford Bay
    • August 21st at the Crawford Bay Community Hall from 6:00pm-8:00pm
  • Boswell
    • August 21st at the Boswell Community Hall from 2:00pm-4:00pm

The Community Wildfire Protection Plan Program (CWPP) assists local governments in identifying the risks of wildfire to their community as well as opportunities to reduce those risks. The purpose of a CWPP is to identify the wildfire risks within and surrounding a community, to describe the potential consequences if a wildfire was to impact the community and to examine possible ways to reduce the wildfire risk.

At the Area A community meetings, we aim to educate and update the community on the process and purpose of the CWPP and to gain valuable insight into how to best develop the plan from a local perspective.
