Coins for Mexico

by Janet Schwieger

I recently donated the entire contents of my coin jar, (minus most of the loonies and twoonies), to the upcoming high school Mexico trip.  The students are fund raising, and after seeing the humble coin container at The CB Market, I remembered my full jar, which is gathering dust as I put off the hours of counting and rolling small coins.

This is a win-win method of raising funds, I realized. My coin clutter is gone and to a good cause. If you have a container of coins that need to go to a good home, Dan Rude, principal of the school says just drop them off to the school office – the students will put them to good use.
