If you need a Food Safe course or know someone who does, there is one at the school on Friday October 23 from 9 to 5. We need a few more people to make it run, please call me at 250-551-5827.

Movie Tonight! The main show is a beautiful award winning documentary by Judith Morrow who is a friend of Susan Snead.  The Healing of Heather Garden is the story of one woman’s healing of MS.

Two shorts before the film are East Shore Kootenay Lake – “Spectacular by Nature” funded through Community Connections and with photography by Bohdan Doval and music by Will Chapman. The second movie is the “Lazy Man Samba” made by Ben Johnson on his computer.  Ben is developing a course on ipad film-making with apps.  Let me know if you are interested.

Hope you can come out.

Next Friday the 23rd is “Eyes in the Forest,” a film by Miriam Needoba on the life and work of Jim Lawrence. We have just heard that Jim can not make it but Miriam will be there.  She is bringing a new petition by Kootenay Artists to stop the grizzly bear hunt as well as another short or two.
