New Protocol Aboard Inland Ferries, Including Kootenay Lake

Submitted by Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.

The measures comply with Transport Canada and align with BC’s Restart Plan.

The COVID-19 safety measures in place for the Province’s inland ferry system help protect the safety of passengers and crew.

During Step 3 of BC’s Restart, passengers are requested to remain in their vehicles if possible for the duration of their inland ferry trip.

It’s recommended that ferry passengers visiting the snack bar, washrooms and other indoor spaces wear a mask.

Passengers are also asked to limit their movements around the vessel, maintain physical distancing and observe any posted occupancy limits.

The snack bar on board MV Osprey is expected to reopen on July 5th.
